What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses advanced controlled cooling technology to freeze and permanently eliminate the stubborn pockets of fat that won't respond to diet and exercise. The safe, state-of-the-art technology specifically targets the fat cells beneath the surface of your skin, without harming your skin tissue. Freezing these fat cells damages their integrity, causing them to be broken down into waste products that your lymphatic system will naturally remove over time.

What is the procedure like?

After placing an external hand piece on the treatment area, a member of the Allure Dermatology team will activate the machine. During the first few minutes, you may experience intense cold along with some pulling as the suction is applied, and the area typically goes numb about 5-10 minutes into treatment. The sensation isn't generally uncomfortable, however.

Many patients read, watch videos, work, or even nap during the procedure. The treatment may last anywhere from 35-60 minutes, depending on the size or number of areas that you're treating. Afterward, you may feel some tingling as your specialist massages the treated area for 2-3 minutes. CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive procedure that doesn't require any downtime, so you can resume your normal activities as soon as you're done.
